Lahti Academic Library and Lappeenranta Academic Library are merging in August
Lappeenranta Academic Library was formed in 2011, when Lappeenranta University of Technology’s and Saimaa University of Applied Sciences’ libraries merged. The official name for the new joint library has not yet been confirmed. The new library is part of Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT.
Coming autumn, the merger will only bring small changes to the library services in Lahti. You can still access the Lahti Academic Library e-materials and browse the collection through Masto-Finna and the library card will stay the same. Information literacy test will be available for LAMK students online at Reppu and you can still book information skills clinic appointments for personal guidance from our information specialists.
The autumn opening times and staffed hours for Academic Library Industria (Mukkulankatu 19) and the opening times for Academic Library Scientia (Niemenkatu 73) will be updated during the summer. It is unlikely that there will be big changes to the current opening times.
The new joint library’s rules and fees will be updated later.
