HEAD (Health, Elderly, Addicts and Disability) is an international seminar concentrating on issues of welfare in greying societies with a multitude of other challenges to face. The intention is to together search for best practices and thus to create a better future for all involved. The seminar is organized by Lahti University of Applied Sciences together with international and domestic partners.

The seminar offers lectures, workshops, a poster display and a trade show plus a lot of entertainment for the participants. Among the lecturers and chairing the workshops we have top specialists from Japan, India, Canada, Finland and several other EU countries.

Abstracts are called for the poster display and full papers for a publication.

Music performances is offered between the lectures and at the trade show and poster display. All services are supplied by the students of LUAS and Päijät-Häme educational consortium.

On November 20 a possibility to visit local industries and other places of interest will be arranged for the international visitors. Also, an opportunity to discuss cooperation at any fields is available then.
