First International Smart Cities in Smart Regions 2016 Conference will take place in May 10–12, 2016 in the Sibelius Hall, Lahti, Finland. The Conference offers an excellent meeting, networking and discussion forum that brings together thinkers, planners and practitioners from academic world, business and public sector. Join us and come to share latest ideas and innovations.

The Programme will include interesting and top-of-the-field keynotes, thematic sessions with presentations, poster sessions, workshops and site visits. Nearly 100 presentations along with esteemed keynote speakers and panelists will provide deep insight on the latest trends relating to the creation of more ‘Smart Cities in Smart Regions’. Our exciting site visits offer a chance to explore Smart and Clean Lahti. 

On Tuesday 10th, keynotes will be given by Mr. Markku Markkula, President of the European Union Committee of the Regions and Professor Doug Crawford-Brown, Director of the University of Cambridge Centre for Climate Change Mitigation Research. 
On Wednesday 11th, Bruce Oreck, Executive in Residence at Aalto University, will be the opening Keynote and the closing keynote will be given by Professor Alan Barrell, Judge Business School University of Cambridge. 

No doubt we will have a plethora of high-level presenters coming to Lahti in May.
