The faculty of Social and Health Care hosted an ENPHE (European Network for Physiotherapy Higher Education) conference 3. – 5.10.2013.

The congress had almost 170 participants from 21 different countries: both physiotherapy educators and students. Lahti UAS Faculty of Social and Health Care has been an active member of the network for almost 20 years and had now for the first time the opportunity to host the congress.

ENPHE is a forum for discussion on European physiotherapy higher education, curriculum development and new forms for co-operation between the participating universities. It is also an excellent place to meet friends, network and have fun.

Education Coordinator, Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy, Ms. Katri Kämäräinen was voted a member of ENPHE executive board for the following four years’ time in the General Assembly Election. Kämäräinen received the votes of all country coordinators.
ENPHE conference programme included lectures, workshops, poster presentations and speed dating sessions for international co-operation possibilities. In addition to that, the student participants had an opportunity to get familiar with Finnish physiotherapy higher education. The guests were naturally given an opportunity for a Finnish Sauna, Nordic walking and swimming in a lake.
