International relations

Music is a global language with no geographic borders. The Faculty of Music therefore encourages its students to travel and to keep theirs minds open to new cultures and customs.

The Faculty of Music has cooperation partners under the exchange programmes Socrates/Erasmus and Nordplus. Also, it cooperates with the Guelph University School of Music in Canada and Lima Kansas University in USA. Additional flavour is provided by special masterclasses by famous international artists.

The Faculty of Music is an active member of Nordiska konservatorierådet, AEC (Association Européenne des Conservatoires) and ELIA (European League of Institutes of the Arts).

International students

The Faculty of Music has international students from many parts of the world. Some of them have taken the normal entrance examination and study at the Faculty with fhe objective to graduate with a bachelor´s degree.

There are degree students for eaxmple from Japan, Iran, Argentina and Russia. Many of the international students are, however, exchange students who stay at the school only for restricted period.
