Vision

LAMK is an internationally recognised and competitive university of applied sciences, which gives the students extensive knowledge to adapt to the internationalising and multicultural working life and society.

The intensive internationalisation of the Finnish higher education in the 1990’s and 2000’s and the expectations set to higher education by the society at large are guiding the internationalisation activities of LAMK to a proactive, independent and target-oriented direction. The demands of the internationalisation of the labour market and the increasing international competition and harmonisation in the global education require fresh approaches in educational and strategic planning.

LAMK believes that the highest professional knowledge in any field of study cannot be reached without information and insight to the influences, development and trends in the international context. In order to able transfer this information to our students LAMK operates also internationally. LAMK aims to increase the visibility and recognisability of Finnish higher education abroad.
