Studies for Exchange Students

All faculties at LUAS offer courses for exchange students. Majority of the courses are limited for the exhange students of the specific faculty but there are some courses which are available also for the other exchange students, e.g. exchange students in the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality can take some courses the Faculty of Business Studies.

Notice Course selection of Business studies 2012-2013 will be entirely available in June.

The course registration takes place within the first two weeks of the semester when exchange students make their final course selection.

Orientation for exchange students

LUAS organizes orientation programme for incoming exchange students before the beginning of the semester:

Autumn 2012: 20th – 31st August 2012
Spring 2013: 23rd-25th January 2013

The orientation programme includes a special course, Finnish Language and Society (3ECTS). The objective of this course is to help international students to understand the Finnish traditions and the way of life and to learn basics of the Finnish language. The course includes activities, excursions and lectures about interesting topics of Finnish life, cuisine, history and culture.
