Specialisation Line in Design Industry

Furniture designers design furniture, lighting and other utility articles for living, working and travelling environments. Studies aim at developing general design skills, including mastering design methods and the ability to present one’s ideas as images, scale and 1:1 models and prototypes.

Major subject studies include furniture design, basics and technology in working wood, metal and plastic, production techniques, presentation techniques, computer-aided design and manufacturing, ergonomics, material technology, exhibition design and marketing. Graduates find jobs in industry, design agencies or as self-employed.
