Notification of admission (Intake September 2012)

The results of the entrance examinations will be given out since May 29th at the earliest.

The applicants admitted in May must confirm their study place by July 31, 2012.

The admission of a student is conditional until the UAS has checked the applicant's original school and other relevant certificates. The UAS may withdraw the admission, if the applicant has given false information.

If study places become available later, applicants on the waiting list will be admitted in the order indicated by their admission points. Study places possibly becoming free will be known after July 31, 2012.

The applicants admitted in November 2011 confirm their study places by December 9th 2011.

One-place-per-student

You can accept only one study place in higher education in Finland in one academic term (1 August - 31 December or 1 January - 31 July).

Appeal Procedures

An applicant not satisfied with the results of the student selection process should first contact the polytechnic/UAS he/she has applied to. If the matter is not resolved, the student may appeal in writing to the executive board of the polytechnic/UAS in question. Such an appeal must be made within 14 days from the time the applicant had the possibility of receiving information on student selection.

Please note that personal circumstances such as illness, death in the family etc. are not considered to be valid reasons for a successful appeal.
