Discretionary admission
Lahti UAS uses discretionary admission. Other applicants may also be admitted, if the UAS considers their skills and knowledge sufficient.
To be eligible for admission, you must meet the admission requirements and your all preferences will be taken into consideration. However, if you are currently upgrading to meet the requirements, i.e. you are in the process of graduating high school during the period of applying, you may still apply to Lahti UAS via discretionary admission.
However, the final diploma has to be received by February 24th 2012 in Degree Programme in Nursing, if an applicant is not a citizen of an EU/EEA country.
Discretionary will be applied in English language skills requirements as follows: Applications with lower scores than outlined above, with other language test reports (such as SAT, Cambridge exam and etc.) or without a proof of English required will be processed after the deadline of the application period and an applicant gets to know at that stage whether his/her application is accepted or not. (Scores submitted later than Febr 24th will not be accepted.)
- Check from the individual university of applied sciences it's policy to discretionary admission.
Application procedure in discretionary admission:
Basic application will be submitted normally via www.admissions.fi during the application period. In case an applicant does not meet requirements, his/her application will be processed automatically via discretionary admission at Lahti UAS without any additional form. Certificate copies available have to be received by February 24th 2012. Applicant code need to be mentioned on documents or printed copy of the application form can be attached.
Please send the copies of your certificates to each UAS's applied. Each UAS makes an independent decision of the applicant's eligibility in discretionary admission.
Lahti UAS is able to handle only those applications, from which attachments are received in time.
