Organisation

Lahti University of Applied Sciences (LAMK or Lahti UAS) is an international multidisciplinary higher education institution located in the city of Lahti, around 100 kilometers away from the capital city of Helsinki. Our fields of study include culture, business and hospitality, social and health care and technology. 

We have currently around 5,000 students studying towards a Bachelor’s or a Master’s Degree. The number of employees is around 400.

Organisational structure​

LAMK was incorporated as a limited company on 1 January 2015. 

Lappeenranta University of Technology, Saimaa University of Applied Sciences and Lahti University of Applied Sciences have established a corporate group consisting of three autonomous institutions. LAMK joined the LUT Group 1.1.2018; in this consortium LUT is the parent company and the universities of applied sciences its subsidiaries.  

The purpose of the LUT Group is to benefit all parties through collaboration. The group's growth strategy will focus on international student recruitment and education export, new education paths, and making an impact on industries.

The President and CEO of Lahti University of Applied Sciences is DSc (Econ.) Turo Kilpeläinen.​​​

The operational organisation of LAMK consists of profit units which are based on faculties, and the supporting services. Each faculty is managed by a Dean. 

LAMK services provide support and expertise to the whole organisation and are responsible for Management services, Study services, HR and finance services, RDI support services, and Learning environment and campus services. LAMK services is managed by Anne Lankinen, Director of Administrative Services.
