About us

Welcome to the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality in Lahti University of Applied Sciences!

The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality offers updated education for future professionals in hotel, restaurant and tourism industry. Our faculty also coordinates EU-projects.

Future Professionals can learn... Our students develop skills, knowledge and attitude that help them create a great career in tourism and hospitality. Courses offer for example understanding the service culture and industry-related projects. The basic and advanced studies include the latest knowledge of information technology, ebusiness, wellness, water tourism, senior markets, wine, destination management, etc. We also offer possibilities to study abroad in our partner universities and to learn living in multicultural surroundings.

...in real Tourism Industry. Studies include work placement, which can take place abroad or in Finland. Majority of our students learn the aspects of destination management and mass tourism during their work placement period in Lapland Finland.

Exchange student can join... Our faculty assists exchange students with unique opportunity for work placement in exotic Lapland Finland. The leading tourism companies in Lapland are available also for young talents from abroad.
